Georgia Canvasser

Southern Alliance for Clean Energy Action Fund is looking to hire a paid canvasser to go door to door in Whitfield County/Dalton, Georgia area to talk to voters about the upcoming 2022 midterm elections. This will be work to turn out voters for Senator Raphael Warnock in the U.S. Senate race, and Stacey Abrams in the Governor’s race. We will also be providing information about how Georgians can vote by mail in this election. We are looking for outgoing individuals who are willing to walk in neighborhoods and talk to people at their door about how important it is for them to vote in this election and equip them with the information they need to have their voices heard. You will be tasked with preparing walk lists and packets with door literature, using Minivan to track interactions with voters, and ensuring all data is synced at the end of each shift. You will be expected to finish the door list we give you. Note that this requires you to be on your feet for up to 3 hours at a time and you will be outside. Pay is $20 per hour though if you have experience managing canvassers you may have an opportunity to earn more as a canvass manager. Ideal candidate would be available for full time work, or at least 20 hours per week until the General Election on November 8, and runoff elections on December 6. Experience running canvasses and managing canvassers is preferred but not a requirement. Note: As a contractor, you will be expected to submit regular timesheets and will be subject to self-employment tax (SE tax).
